Product Description
Edme is a woman with a nice house in a gated community, a successful marriage, and a business of her own. But it's all part of a larger plan to be seen as a cultured, sophisticated woman.
To further her goal, she joins an online travel club to meet other sophisticated, cultured people like herself to try to broaden the horizons of herself and her husband Evan. But Evan is happy with their peaceful Iowa life. He's not interested in being sophisticated and cultured. He just wants to be happy and is privately concerned that he no longer measures up to Edme's standards anymore either.
While on her online travel club, Edme meets world travelers Mallory and Dermot and invites them to their home for a fortnight, because it's "so European." But when Mallory and Dermot arrive, it tests Edme's resolve to become like the "cultured, sophisticated" people she so longs join.
